Catch me if you dare!

by Eze Eluchie

Wonders, they say, will never cease.

I never thought the day will come when I will agree on anything with a major goon who has contributed immensely to the current nightmare living in Nigeria has become for all its citizens – Olusegun Obasanjo!

Obasanjo’s admonition to the Jonathan presidency to either hold him (Obasanjo) personally responsible for the mega corruption which occurred during the Nigeria’s ‘Reign of Evil’ (1999 – 2007) or forever shut up, receives my whole hearted support.

I hope someone will seize this opportunity to awaken the character presently collecting salary as Chairman of Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Lamurde, to get up from his slumber and proof to Nigerians that the funds remitted to cover the running costs of the EFCC from the Federation account is not a 100% waste!

If Obasanjo, a personification and embodiment of corruption, can ask to be investigated, prosecuted and if found guilty of corruption jailed, and the present administration fails to take up that task, it will be appropriate to demand that all persons detained or serving sentences in Nigerian prisons be released forthwith.

Well, President Jonathan, if you do not take up Obasanjo on this freely given challenge, then you might as well stop talking of any ‘transformation’ or efforts at ‘tackling corruption’!

I sure do hope that the Goodluck Jonathan administration takes up this characters challenge on account of the monumental fleecing and raping of Nigeria which occured under Obasanjo's rulership.

Nigeria, as presently structured, is simply not sustainable.

We’ve got to restructure and renegotiate this contraption soonest!

  1. The shame of a country.

Most unfortunately, President Goodluck Jonathan, through his Adviser on Political Affairs, Mr. Ali Gulak, has just confirmed that ex-Military dictator Olusegun Obasanjo will not be investigated for the monumental corruption which occurred during the Obasanjo presidency.

    ……the stealing and looting continues!

Lets restructure and renegotiate whilst we can!
